The British Council Philippines is part of the UK's international organisation for educational and
cultural opportunities and relations
The British Council Philippines began it's operations in 1980. According to their
site they endeavour to create and nurture...
"mutually beneficial relationships with Filipinos by creating
opportunities where they can meet and fulfil their aspirations in the fields of learning, society and
culture."
The Philippines British Council also oversees the administration of the IELTS test for the country
of the Philippines and those interested in taking the test should find the following information
useful.
To sign up for the IELTS Test in the Philippines...
FIRST download an
application form and fill it out or
get one from theBritish Council office.

SECOND make sure you sign the form and return it the office or one of
the registration
agents offices.
When you return the application form you
should include all of the following:
- Photocopy of Valid
Identification
Passport (valid for at least 6 months after test date)
PRC ID (for professionals)
SSS ID or GSIS ID
- 2 Passport Sized Colour
Photos
- Test Fees
- (currently) Php 8,640.00 (cash,
cashier’s cheque or bank draft payable to British Council)
Venues will be announced in a reminder letter or contact the office for this information.
The confirmationletter is sent with an official receipt serving as confirmation
for the exam.
The final schedule and venue for the speaking tests will be announced after the
written tests. Exams start at 9:00 am. Sharp! You should arrive at least
30 minutes earlier to complete pre-test requirements and to receive your candidate number and seat
assignment.
